It takes over 100 volunteers from the community to marshal each Human Being Active event each year. Without our volunteers, there would be no events!

If you cannot run, want to give something back to the community, support a charity / worthy cause / your club or organisation, want to support a friend or family member, or simply want to be outside and see our great event then please come and help; you will be very welcome.

Everyone who works on the Llanelli Half is paid, either in expenses payments to individuals or in payment to their charity, voluntary group, club or organisation.

Volunteers working on the day will also receive a free meal and goody bag. For groups we will also supply a number of free guaranteed places for a future HBA event.

For a number of local voluntary groups the Llanelli Half now represents their main fundraiser of the year, it is also an interesting and rewarding team building exercise.

Of course you also receive the huge gratitude of thousands of runners and the organisers too.

Most of our volunteers have worked with us for a number of years, but we always have opportunities for additional charity groups, clubs, organisations and individuals. 

We are also particularly interested in recruiting additional experienced runners from local clubs to assist as race marshals, and sector team leaders.

On Race Day we need volunteers for:

• Course Set-up
• Car-park Attendants
• Course Marshals/Monitors
• Start Line Marshals
• Water/Aid Stations
• Finish Line Marshals
• Goody Bag/T-shirt Distribution
• Moving Equipment after Race
• Course clean-down

We are also looking for volunteers to help promote the Human Being Active events at other events throughout the UK.

Promotion is done by distributing future HBA events information and entry forms to participants at the finish line of other events.

Individuals or groups who volunteer to help promote our events will be receive a donation for completing the task and travelling expenses will be covered.
